Based on a Tibetan typical residential building model, simulates the heat load, exterior window heat transfer and natural room temperature change of the building with mobile thermal insulation device in the heating season using EnergyPlus. The results show that the heat loads of the building with mobile thermal insulation in the north and south orientations decrease by 7.8% and 16.6%, respectively. The heat loss from exterior window reduces significantly. The building indoor thermal environment is significantly improved, which benefits to the stability of the indoor room temperature. With the thickness of the benzene board increasing, the influence of mobile thermal insulation device on the indoor thermal environment decreases. When the thickness of benzene board is 0.027 m, the average daily lowest natural room temperature is 14 .
